And the Winner is...

David Hawkins started last Tuesday (two weeks ago from today) like any other. He got up at 8:00 AM, and began working on some projects at home for his computer consulting company. Suddenly, the phone rang and David's life (well at least part of it) changed forever.

You see, David had entered a contest on Yahoo! to win a "spot" on the GRAMMY Webcast crew. Included in the prize were tickets to the GRAMMY Awards as well as other special GRAMMY events like the nominees dinner. But, David and his friend/prize partner had to WORK backstage as part of the prize.

"Here's $20 for some snacks and herbal teas," barked a Webcast crew member to our winners. "The tea can't have any caffeine, you know their performig---oh---and be sure to pick up plenty of bottled water and M&M's."

Off they went. In addition to getting plenty of snacks and food for the Webcast guests, David and Michele also tracked down photographers to snap shots, ran equipment between the Webcast set and Webcast Central and basically helped behind the scenes on the show.

"It was an unbelievable experience. If felt like I was shot into a different world all of a sudden. One week, it was normal life, the next minute, I was backstage at the GRAMMYS."

Michele added, "I feel like we got the best of both worlds. We got to see the backstage grind as well as the glamour of the pre-Grammy event. But, the best is still to come---the actual show. I'm loving life."
